Join the EDU Volunteers Database

We are looking for three types of volunteers to help with our research;

  1. people who have had experience of an eating disorder
  2. people who have cared for someone with an eating disorder
  3. people who have never had an eating disorder

We are particularly interested in people with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and those people who have recovered from an eating  disorder. Please e mail j.barrera@iop.kcl.ac.uk or f.bishopp@iop.kcl.ac.uk for more information

How you can help

The Eating Disorders Unit maintain a research database of people who have experience of caring for / living with someone with an eating disorder.

This is because we are interested in finding out more about the experience of caring for someone with an eating disorder and in particular the needs that carers and partners have.

If we can increase our understanding about what it is like to care for someone with an eating disorder and what kinds of needs carers have, then this will help us to address the areas of unmet need and provide greater information and support for carers.

How to join the volunteer database

  1. People with experience of an eating disorder
  2. Carers / people with experience of caring for someone with an eating disorder
  3. People who have not had an eating disorder
