Scientific Fraud

The following statment summarises the policy and view that Kings takes of scientific misconduct. and can be used on grant applications:-

Kings College London is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and probity in the conduct of research, by both staff and students. To that end, the College has approved "Guidelines on Good Practice in Research" in order to ensure that research and the dissemination of the results of research are conducted properly. Given its international reputation and status, the College has a responsibility to the scientific community and to the public at large and therefore, put in place procedures to ensure the exercise of due diligence in making enquiries as to the substance and provenance of an allegation. An allegation of ressearch misconduct is serious and potentially defamatory, and could lead to disciplinary and legal proceedings. The College will therefore investigate any allegation of scientific misconduct fully.
