biography

I originally trained as a psychopharmacologist working with rodent behavioural models of behaviour. My research includes work on factors influencing drug dependence, molecular mechanisms of antidepressant drug action and functional genomics of behaviour using both candidate gene association and gene expression profiling techniques. I have recently completed a Marie Curie Fellowship studying gene x environment interactions in depression at the Rudolf Magnus Institute of Neuroscience in the Netherlands.

I am currently on an RCUK Fellowship researching why cannabis use in adolescence is a risk factor for schizophrenia using animal models.
