biography

After working as a clinical academic (psychiatrist) studying the public health aspects of addiction in Brazil, Dr Cleusa Ferri resumed her academic career at the Institute of Psychiatry. Her main areas of interest are: ageing and dementia, public health aspects of addiction, and women’s mental health and violence.

After her general and specialist medical training, Dr Cleusa Ferri completed a MSc in Psychobiology and a PhD in Psychiatry at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. She has also a MSc in Epidemilogy by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
